Due to the respective concession contracts in force and the respective Regulations, ESSE has public powers in the context of the operation of parking paid on public roads in the cities of Espinho and Vila Real de Santo António, liquidating and collecting voluntarily or coercively parking fees.

Thus, under the law, in the exercise and because of public concessions, in order to quantify the fees to be paid and collect voluntarily or coercively, ESSE is legally obliged to collect data related to the identification of vehicles (registration, make, model), place and date of parking (street, date and time), identification of drivers or owners (name, VAT, address).

Generally, the personal data collected are intended for the exercise of public powers in connection with the parking operation paid on public roads in the cities of Espinho and Vila Real de Santo António, liquidating and collecting voluntarily or coercively the respective parking fees, being essential for ESSE to fulfill the competences assigned to it by law and administrative act.

We try to limit whenever possible the personal information that is necessary to provide each service, and we ask for the details that are fundamental to the execution of such competences.

Personal data is normally collected electronically through our website during its navigation and in the use of its functions, in the application and also in person, on the public highway, through ESSE employees in the exercise of public functions.
